Job Title: Golang Developer

Location: Role is mostly remote, but person must sit in Atlanta, St. Louis, or Boise. Teams are located there and they may be very minimal times they’re needed onsite for meetings and urgent team stuff, so they must sit there. MAYBE 1-2 days a month onsite, if that. So if they live kind of faraway but can travel, that will work too / remote work also there

Job Type: 6-12 month contract to hire. 100-150K would be conversion range

Interview Process: 1 and done with the hiring manager. Some of the roles may be 2 steps, but the goal is to do 1 if possible.

• This role is technically for Kount. Kount is a company that provides customers with digital identity trust and fraud prevention solutions. Today, Kount is the leader in digital fraud prevention, holding over 30 patents with more pending. • For this project, the focus will be working on device inspection, fingerprinting, and tracking for fraud prevention. This include mobile development (mostly handled by another team) for native mobile applications that integrate to the work this team does, and this team creates/supports the backend services (in go) and a web SDK for web or non-mobile applications.

• Open to considering a range of mid-senior level talent. He really just needs someone sharp with strong experience with the technologies below:
• Go (aka GoLang)
• AWS
• Kubernetes

• Experience building RESTful API's within a microservice architecture

Full Job Description:

The Software Engineer will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and deploying Go and Web based applications and services * Leading and conducting design and code reviews for both peers and junior developers * Participating and being an advocate for issue resolution and change control processes * Working closely with business leaders to understand strategic and financial objectives and then translating them into technical specifications and applications * Leading and participating in architecture and design meetings for major components and sub-systems * Developing and documenting designs for components, modules and sub-systems * Assisting Director with defining and estimating project task effort and required resources * Recommending and driving best practices, standards, processes and tools * Other duties as assigned

The Software Engineer must have the following skills and experience to perform this job effectively:

• Go/GoLang, Javascript, Web Services

• 7-10 years developing business application software

• 5-7+ years designing and architecting enterprise-class, mission critical software * 4-6+ years working with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes * 3+ years providing direction to other developers * Unquestioned integrity * Demonstrated proficiency with design patterns and SOA architectures * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong, problem solving and analytical capabilities * Good interpersonal, conflict resolution and customer service skills * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment * Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions * Professional maturity in dealing with all levels of management and staff * Experience with full life cycle of projects from establishing requirements through delivery and production support * Ability to demonstrate a strong character established through a strong work ethic * Ability to be accountable, take ownership, and be held accountable for decisions as demonstrated through everyday work situations

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledgeable on network protocols

• Demonstrated security software development training * Familiarity with automated testing tools, performance and regression testing * Experience with open source tools and technologies

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $60,466.38 - $141,022.07 per year
